Your green card is good for two years after your marriage. One and a half years after anniversary of your marriage and before second anniversiray you should file a petititon for removal of temporary conditions of your green card. The only time you are going to have a problem if you stay in Russia after expiration of your green card without filing an appropriate petition. As long as you are a resident there is no need to explain the reasons for your travel.
