  Ottawa
Hi! My name is Tatiana. I have a question. I came to US on visitor visa. Got married to US citizen and we are married for over 4 years. I'm waiting for my green card for almost 3 years. Ours marriage was great for about two years and now it is like hell. We do not leave together. My husband become really abusive. And 6 month ago he brouight another woman in our house to leave and putted me and our son on a street. I'm on an edge right now, because I do not work, have no money to support myself or my son.I do not have a work permit and I'm in and out of hospitals with clinical depression from what happened. Please, tell me if I can do anything or get green card without my husband.Thank you

Привет, Do you intend to divorce your husband? Technically, regardless of you having the GC or not, you can file for divorce. It does not matter where you are from when it comes to divorce. You will go through the same procedure as any woman with GC. In fact the court may order your husband to rent a place for you if you do not have a place to stay and you do not work and have a child. I think that you can maintain your legal status even if you are still waiting for your GC. I gather from what you said that it is your husband's fault and not yours but I would not make affirmative conclusions since I do not know your husband's story. I know situations where wives were making false accusations. In any case, your husband will probably recall his petition and you'll have to adjust your status differently. You can contact WAWA ( I think this is the name for organization that helps women who were abused). You will also need a divorce attorney and an immigration attorney. By the way, how is it possible that you did not get work permit in three years? Best regards,

Tatiana: Are you sure you husband has sent documents for you? I understand and know why you are waiting so long for an interview; however, I don'e understand and this is unussual not to obtain an employment authorization for three years. Something wrong in your case/ You should go to CIS office and ask them/ Probably you did not file I-765 Form )Application for Employment Authorization).
