Dear Boris,
I came to US in 1996 on tourist visa. After one year I lost my status here. In 2001 I was apprehended at Niagara Falls by the authorities. I received the papers to attend the immigration court in Buffalo. In November, 2001 I had a master court hearing. I was scheduled to come back to court in July, 2002. I went alone again and explained the judge that I had a lawyer, who turned to be a swindler. I told him that I want to stay in the country, so he gave me time again till June, 2003. From what I understood I don't have many chances to be allowed to stay in the country, besides marriage. What would be your suggestion?
What are my chances to immigrate to Canada if I stayed without status in US for almost six years? I have a bachelor degree in electronic technology. Originally from Moldova. Thanks much for your time.
With respect, Sasha.
