Could you help me please? I am an accountant (got a bachelor in accounting here in US) and one year on my first H1B visa. Trying to get a green card. Talked with some lowers regarding the procedure. Many saying I don’t have any good chance because there are a lot of Americans who might easily qualify for the same job. My firs question is that if I would find a new job (advertisement on the internet or in a news paper) and a new employer would agree to hire me and to sing the application forms (new H1B and a green card – my expenses) do I need to advertise this job again if I would file for a green card? Second question is that when switching to a new H1B with a new employer can I do a speed processing (we did it with my first one and I got it back in 2 weeks) and when could I start working for a new employer (after receiving a new H1B)? Are there any easy ways to switch to a new employer? Was looking for this information on the internet, including INS site but couldn’t find anything tangible. Could you give me some guidance on those issues? Thanks in advance.

1) Yes, not you, but your employer must add in a newsapep. I would not recommend you to change your employer because it will be difficult to obtain another H-1B; 2) You can use expedited procedure paying additional $1,000; however there is no guarantee that they will decide your case for this period. they simply can ask you for additional information, and that means the end of the premium process. I would recommend you to continue working with this employer and at the same time to apply for a green card. You have nothing to lose. Good luck, Lev Kobrin.
