Please everybody who knows what i can do help!!!!
I am filing for the divorce after being bitted by my 24 year old husband. We loved each other - at least i did. And we have 9-months old baby - i work for 10$ an hour but i need more money to survive. Please tell me where to ask for food stamps or gov help. Please people help!!!!! Please. Thank you, Maria

I also foregot to tell you that he cheated on me all the time and solicit prostitutes but i didnt know and coulnt proove and i cant bare it any more. Now i have proves and police report. He started to bit me up. I hired an advocate and i dont have problemes with staing here but i only need financial help if i can get one. Thank you if you will answear. Maria

You have to try to go and speak with the department of social services staff members or your babay's pediatrician/childrens health center and explain the situation. They will hopefully help you out or at least guide you in a right direction.

Go first to the Social Security Office; they have all the applications for the State financial assistance (Welfare, Foodstamps, etc.). Then go to the Legal Aid and ask for a free attorney to protect you against you husband, and assist you to obtain a court decision regarded to your financial benefits (child support, may be even alimony for yoy).
As I realized, you are not worried about your immigration status and benefits. If you do, let me know.

Hello Maria.
I'm an American. When I needed help from DHS I could not get the help when I needed it. Because I made to much money. At $10 an hour forget it on food stamps or (gov) help. However I would get a good immigration attorney this person knows the laws and would be useful to you. I'm not cutting you down in needing help so please understand this.

First, you don't knoe how many hours per week she is working (for $10).
Secod, you have, probably, forgotten tha she is an "unwed mother," and, consequently, is subject to special privileges and benefits.
